Safely recess a wood floor between existing 2 x10 or engineered floor joists with this Fundo Ligno installation kit. Made for use with the wedi Fundo Ligno curbless waterproof shower system, it adds structural stability and safety to the recess and enables a safe installation without the need to sister joists with more 2 x 6, or other wood framing material. It saves time compared to working with framing material only, and you can recess a floor even where HVAC equipment or plumbing systems are taking up room in between joists. With the wedi recess bracket support system, you can solidly place a 3/4 in. wood floor between and flush with joists. The bracket system connects, carries, and supports the recessed wood along floor joists, the surrounding unrecessed subfloor and the sides of the shower where the wood meets the framing bottom plates.
