The workshop furnace consists primarily of sturdy cast iron, while the firebox is heat-resistant. By the wide trap door opening even larger logs can be conveniently mounted. In addition to logs and wood briquettes, the workshop furnace is also approved for use with lignite briquettes, thus allowing a long ember retention time. Depending on the type of fuel and operating condition secondary air can be metered. Unburned components are thus safely burned and lead to higher energy utilization.
