Description
Black Knight Butterfly Bush produces fragrant, dark purple, nearly black flower spikes that lure butterflies to the garden from midsummer to frost. The flower spikes grow up to 10 inches long and look dramatic against the dark green foliage. While it attracts butterflies, deer tend to avoid it. Because flowers are produced on new wood, it's best to prune the bush almost to the ground in early Spring before new growth begins.
