Smart Research Sidechain Cable

The Smart Research C2 Ext Sidechain Cable is designed for use with the Smart Research C2 Stereo Compressor, utilizing side chain input functions and reduces sensitivity to low frequency compression. Smart Research C2 Ext Sidechain Cable is designed to reduce the sensitivity to low frequency compression. It rolls off low frequency signals below 150H'z feeding the external sidechain input, to reduce compression slightly at low frequencies, but without effecting the audio signal path. The C2 Compressor's input is split through 150Hz -6dB/octave High Pass filter to feed the External Sidechain input. Smart Research C2 Compressor operates as normal, untill the 'External Sidechain' switches selected. One Smart Research C2 Ext Sidechain Cable is used for each channel, one pair is included per order. The normal input signal is connected to the female XLR, and the 'straight through' male XLR is connected to the C2's input. This allows operation as normal.
