The MADI Router is the first device that RME makes available for its renewed Premium Line with a wide range of products of the highest level for the transmission and the multichannel digital conversion. The MADI Router presents four groups with three different MADI I / O each and comes used as a patch bay and format converter, thus becoming absolutely indispensable for anyone work with the MADI protocol. Apart from the perfect quality in signal distribution, the MADI Router allows, compared to the award-winning MADI Bridge, to create signals in output with combinations of audio channels from different ones MADI inputs. The MADI protocol (English acronym of Multichannel Audio Digital Interface) has been defined at worldwide level by the AES and allows up to 64 management 24-bit channels at a frequency of 48 kHz or, alternatively, 32 channels at 24 bits and 96 kHz.
