UCX continues RME's long tradition in the design of compact interfaces that enclose in half unit that normally takes up three 19 "panels. Already from this point of view the UCX Fireface establishes a record in the category: the half rack unit chassis hides 300 electronic components, more than the Fireface UC (which already has its own has a remarkable density)! 50 components are dedicated to shield the high quality internal electronics from the DSPs, the heart of the interface. RME engineers are products in yet another design effort for implement the latest generation technologies, already present in the UFX Fireface, plus a number of new features unpublished, within a half-portable interface rack unit. The result is a surprising combination of most successful RME products: Fireface UFX, Fireface UC / 400 and Babyface.
