The L-shape of the plate also benefits shooting in vertical orientation with panorama nodal slides, for maintaining a consistent nodal point, and shooting in horizontal orientation with side-mount gimbal heads. This plate set features a modular two-piece design that includes both the dedicated base plate and an L-component, which combine to form a dedicated L-plate. This versatile configuration offers the same support as a one-piece L-plate, with the added ability to remove the L-component for a slimmer overall profile, or to slide the L-component to the side for easier access to the camera's side ports.
