The QuickVue+ Infectious Mononucleosis test is designed to detect IgM heterophile antibodies in acute phase infections. The specimen used is serum, plasma or whole blood. This rapid sensitive immunoassay utilizes an extract of bovine erythrocytes which has a greater specificity and sensitivity.
