Each speaker has a mica-reinforced IMPP (injection-molded polypropylene) woofer. This process of cone molding assures a uniform cone thickness to improve linearity and clarity. Additionally, the cones are lightweight and rigid to decrease distortion. The woofers use rubber treated cloth surrounds for improved durability.
