Flash based CMOS microcontroller family. RISC architecture with 35 commands. All the instructions are single cycle ones(1 us), except for the branch commands, which demand 2 cycles. As additional functions of the PIC16C6x family the 16F7x offer the A/D converters, which are available as 8-bit with up to 8 channels. From the PIC16F73 onwards, the I2C-, SPI-interface and USART are provided as a matter of course, along with the possibility of producing PWM. Apart from the watchdog with its own RC clock pulse, one can also have up to 3 timers.
