Meade S102 102mm f/5.9 Refractor Telescope

Designed for beginners, the Meade S102 102mm f/5.9 Refractor Telescope is intended to introduce inquisitive minds to astronomy by giving them a complete setup for viewing the moon, planets, constellations, and bright deep-sky objects like binary stars. Supporting the optical tube is a simple and intuitive alt-azimuth yoke mount and a lightweight but sturdy adjustable-height aluminum tripod. Two eyepieces provide 23x and 67x magnifications with a 2x Barlow lens that doubles the magnification of each eyepiece for a wider range of observing possibilities. Also included is a 90° erect-image diagonal that makes looking through the scope more comfortable, especially when aiming the telescope directly overhead. The diagonal's prism corrects images horizontally and vertically, allowing the scope to be used as a conventional spotting scope for terrestrial viewing as well. A universal smartphone adapter allows you to capture photos and video of celestial and terrestrial subjects with ease.
