KEF R8a

KEF's R8a speakers are designed to sit atop R Series floor-standing or bookshelf speakers. They connect to your Dolby Atmos home theater receiver's height channels to reproduce overhead effects and give your movies and TV shows a new sense of dimensionality. In this configuration, they'll literally bounce the sound off your ceiling and back down to your ears. Each speaker comes with keyhole slots for wall-mounting, so you can use the pair as conventional home theater surround speakers, as well. KEF's patented Uni-Q technology places the speaker's 1" tweeter in the acoustic center of a 5-1/4" woofer. The R8a and other R Series models feature the latest refinement of this concentric driver technology. KEF has managed to reduce coloration by cutting resonance in the tiny gaps between the Uni-Q array's elements, for purer and more precise sound and even better imaging.
