JBL's JRX200 loudspeaker line delivers the level of performance and quality you expect from JBL without cleaning out your savings account. The JRX 218S is a compact passive subwoofer that can add serious power and impact to your PA system. The JRX218S features a JBL low-frequency 18" driver with a cast frame and massive 3" voice coil in a ported enclosure. It will handle up to 350 watts continuous (or 1400 watts peak), and JBL recommends that you power this sub with an amplifier rated at between 350 and 700 watts. Properly amplified, this subwoofer will bring a whole new dimension to your performance, where the audience hears and feels the low notes. JBL built the rugged enclosure from 3/4" medium density fiberboard (MDF), and it's covered in black carpet with an 18-gauge steel grille and non-resonant steel handles.
