The welding helmet LCD Master 11 by Gys has two filter stages. When the arc builds up, the welding helmet darkens the window within fractions of a second, protecting the wearer's eyes from harmful radiation. When the arc is switched off, the disc automatically lights up again, allowing a good view of the workpiece. The power supply is via the solar cell at the above the field of view, so no additional power source is needed. The field of view is 100 x 49 mm, so a good view is maintained. The helmet not only protects the eyes but also the rest of the face so that rays, sparks or splinters do not cause injury.
