The Fader FX8 series reference monitor was born from attempt to solve a big problem: how do you do it a 8 "2-way Monitor that is not as high as a 15". In one study (and even more in a home studio), when you put it something high on a mixing console, this tends to obstruct the view in front of you. Not to mention that the off-axis response reduces the sweet spot. Fluid Audio has solved this by creating a 2-way coaxial (or double) design concentric), with the tweeter mounted in the center of the woofer.
