dynamically.
Select Use the following IP Address and fill in the IP a ddre ss, Subne t mask, and De fault g a te wa y fields if
you have a static IP address that was assigned to you by your network administrator or ISP. You may also
have to enter a Pre fe rre d DNS se rve r and an Alte rnate DNS se rve r, if that information was provided. Click
Adva nc e d if you want to configure advanced settings for IP, DNS and WINS.
8 Click OK to close the Inte rne t Protoc ol (TCP/ IP) Prope rtie s window.
9 Click OK to close the Loc a l Are a Conne c tion Pro pe rtie s window.
Ve rifying Se ttings
1 Click Sta rt > All Prog rams > Ac c e ssorie s > Comma nd Prompt.
2 In the Comma nd Prompt window, type "ipconfig" and then press [ENTER].
3 The IP settings are displayed as follows.
