20.1 Ove rvie w
This chapter shows you how to upload a new firmware, upload or save backup configuration files and
restart the NBG-418N v2.
20.2 Wha t You Ca n Do
• Use the Firmwa re screen to upload firmware to your NBG-418N v2 (
Section 20.3 on page 141).
• Use the Co nfig uration screen to view information related to factory defaults, backup configuration,
and restoring configuration (Section 20.4 on page 143).
• Use the Re sta rt screen to have the NBG-418N v2 reboot (
Section 20.5 on page 144).
20.3 Firmware Uploa d Sc re e n
Find firmware at
www.zyxel.com in a file that (usually) uses the system model name with a “*.bin”
extension, e.g., “NBG-418N v2.bin”. The upload process uses HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) and may
take up to two minutes. After a successful upload, the system will reboot.
Click Ma inte nanc e > Tools. Follow the instructions in this screen to upload firmware to your NBG-418N v2.
