8.4.1.1 Creating a New LUN
A LUN is a unit of st orage shared over iSCSI t hat can be m apped to an iSCSI target . You m ust
creat e an iSCSI LUN volum e before you configure an iSCSI t arget for it . Click Cr e at e in t he iSCSI
LUNs section of t he St or age M anage r > iSCSI screen t o open the screens as shown.
Delete Click t his t o open the following screen where you can delete an exist ing LUN.
Key in DELETE and click De let e t o rem ove an existing LUN. Click Ca ncel t o close t his screen.
I nfo Click t his item to check detailed infor m at ion about t he LUN.
N am e - Displays t he nam e of the LUN.
Locat ion - Displays t he nam e of the volum e t he LUN is located in.
Cap a cit y - Displays t he size of t he LUN.
Allocat ion m ode - Displays the allocat ion m et hod t he LUN applies.
W rit e Back - Displays whether t he w rit e back feat ure is enabled or disabled.
Ma pp ed iSCSI Ta rge t - Displays t he iSCSI t arget nam e t he LUN is m apped t o.
