27.3.7 Edit Job: Step 2
Use t his screen to edit t he schedule for the backup j ob.

The following table describes t he labels in this screen.
Purge Policy The NAS m aint ains the files that have been included in your backups. However t o save
hard disk space, you can choose t o delet e files t hat have been included in previous
backups.
Select Kee p All Old Ba ck up file s to store all files that have been included in
previous backups.
I f you want t o store a cert ain num ber of backup files, select Keep Only t he last n
backup file s ( 1 - 3 0 ) . Enter a value ( n) from 1 to 30 to specify how m any back ups
the NAS st ores. All backup files older t han the last one are deleted. You will not be
able t o recover files t hat exist ed ( only) in t hose previous backups. Select t his if
backup space is lim ited and r ecovery of old files is not im port ant .
I f you want t o store all backups for a cert ain t im e period, select Ke ep Backups for
n da y( s) ( 1 - 3 6 5 0 ) . Ent er a value ( n) from 1 t o 3650 t o specify how m any days the
NAS stores all backup files. After this day has expired, all back up files will be
deleted.

Select t he m inute ( fr om 0 t o 59) in an hour when t he NAS perform s the backup job.
St art Tim e ( hh: m m ) This is available if y ou select ed D aily, W e ekly or M ont hly as your backup frequency.

days?
This is only available if you select ed D aily as your backup frequency.
Enter t he int erval between days when t he NAS perform s the backup job.
