20.3 How to Use Dropbox with the NAS
Here is how to use t he Drop2NAS and zDow nload folders t he NAS creates in your Dropbox account.
Using the Drop2NAS Folder
The NAS connects to Dr opbox and copies files in the Drop2NAS folder to t he NAS’s
adm in\ Dropbox\ From Dropbox folder and em pties t he Drop2NAS folder. The NAS init iat es
connections to t he Dropbox server so you do not need t o configure rules on a firewall in front of the
NAS t o allow access to t he NAS. Dr opbox is not connect ing to t he NAS. When you upload files of t he
sam e nam e t o the Drop2NAS folder, t he NAS adds a num ber t o the nam es of t he files in t he NAS’s
Enable Dropbox Select this t o synchronize and back up your Dropbox account. The first t im e you do t his
a Dropbox screen prom pt s you to log int o your Dropbox account .
Then a NAS pop- up opens. Click Get Ready.
Click Allow when the Dropbox screen not ifies you of the NAS’s DropNAS applicat ion
trying to connect to your Dropbox account.
After t he NAS connect s to Dropbox, clear t he Enable Dr opbox opt ion and click Apply
to st op syncing your files wit h Dropbox wit hout logging out from your Dropbox account .
Click Logout inst ead t o be able t o use the NAS wit h another Dr opbox account.
Apply Click this t o save your changes.
