14.8 Printer Server Tutorial
Do the following to have the NAS let com put ers on your net work share a print er. See
www.zyxel.com for a list of com patible print ers.
1 Make sure t he NAS is on and t he SYS light is on steady ( not blinking) .
2 Use a USB cable t o connect t he print er’s USB port t o one of t he NAS’s USB port s. Make sure t he
print er is also connected to an appropriate power source.
3 Turn on t he print er.
4 The NAS detects the print er after a few m om ent s.
5 On your com put er, open your CI FS file sharing program ( Windows Explorer for exam ple) and
browse t o the NAS. Double- click t he print er ’s icon.
6 I f you get a warning screen, click t he opt ion that lets you continue (Ye s in t his exam ple) .
