Now that Jim m y has created Bob’s share, he can go t hrough t he st eps again to create anot her
share for Kevin.
14.6.3 Creating a Group
Aft er creat ing user account s for Bob and Kevin, Jim m y wants to create a group for his sons and
another one for the parent s. Jim m y can assign access rights to his sons’ group for certain shares
such as a cartoons share and allow only t he parent s’ group to access t he scary m ovie share. This is
how he would create the group.
1 I n the NAS’s adm inistrat ion web configurat or screen, click Grou ps > Add Group.
2 Specify a nam e for t he group. Select the user( s) you want t o add t o the group from t he Available
Use r( s) list and click Add Select e d User ( s) . Configure the screen as follows. Then click Apply t o
creat e the group.
