If the Primary Phone number is busy or does not
answer, your Prestige will dial the Secondary
Phone number if available.
Some areas require dialing the pound sign #
before the phone number for local calls. A #
symbol may be included at the beginning of the
phone numbers as required.
Route This fields determines the protocols that your
Prestige will route.
Bridge Bridging is used for protocols that the Prestige
doe not support, e.g., SNA, or not turned on in
the previous Route field. When bridging is
enabled, your Prestige will forward any packet
that it does not route to this remote node;
otherwise, the packets are discarded. .

Edit PPP Options To edit the PPP options for this remote node,
move the cursor to this field, use the space bar to
select Yes and press [Enter]. This will bring you
to Menu 11.2 - Remote Node PPP Options. For
more information on configuring PPP options,
see the section Editing PPP Options.

Rem IP Addr
This is a required field [?] if Route is set to IP.
Enter the IP address of the remote gateway.
Edit IP/IPX/Bridge
Options
To edit the parameters, select Yes and press
[Enter]. This will bring you to Menu 11.3 -
Remote Node Network Layer Options. For more
information on this screen, refer to the chapter
pertaining to your specific protocol.

Telco Options:
Allocated Budget
(min)
This field sets a ceiling for outgoing call time for
this remote node. The default for this field is 0 for
no budget control.
Default = 0
Period (hr) This field sets the time interval to reset the above
outgoing call budget control.
Transfer Type This field specifies the type of connection
between the Prestige and this remote node.
When set to Leased, the Allocated Budget and
Period do not apply.
