Dear Reader,
In August of 2010 the WiMAX Forum released the first WiMAX
Product Guide. That guide provided information on more than
280 WiMAX end-user devices that were immediately available.
This year for our second edition, the WiMAX Product Guide
includes information on more than 340 end-user devices, all
available today. This includes 13 smart phones, 9 tablets, 22
portable hotspots, and much more.
WiMAX technology is available today. It is in use in almost
600 deployments across 150 countries, and WiMAX networks
currently cover more than 823 million people globally.
WiMAX technology is proven and trusted to deliver cost-efficient
broadband connectivity. The devices included in this guide
provide access to broadband for over 20 million WiMAX
subscribers globally, and that number is increasing rapidly.
