15.6.3 Configuring Custom Services
Configure customized ports for services not predefined by the ZyAIR (See “Predefined
Services” on page 206 for a list of predefined services). For a comprehensive list of port
numbers and services, visit the IANA (Internet Assigned Number Authority) web site.
Click the Add button under Custom Service while editing a firewall rule to configure a
custom service. This displays the following screen.

The following table describes the labels in this screen.

LABEL DESCRIPTION
Service Name Enter a unique name for your custom service.
Service Type Choose the IP port (TCP, UDP or Both) that defines your customized service
from the drop down list box.
Port Select Single to specify one port only or Range to specify a span of ports that
define your customized service.
Apply Click Apply to save your customized settings and exit this screen.
Cancel Click Cancel to exit this screen without saving.
Action for
Matched Packets
Use the drop-down list box to select whether to discard (Block) or allow the
passage of (Forward) packets that match this rule.
Apply Click Apply to save your customized settings and exit this screen.
Cancel Click Cancel to exit this screen without saving.
