Changing your online status
1. Tap your own entry at the top of your friends list.
2. Tap your current status to change it.
3. Enter a status message or if you already have one, edit it. In addition to
the standard status settings, you can also tap Change to a recently-used
status to select a message that you’ve entered previously.
4. Tap the to return to your friends list.
Starting a chat
1. Tap a friend in your friends list. You can also tap to initiate a voice chat
if the friend is online. The chat screen for that friend will open.
2. Type in a message and tap .
Google Local
Google Local helps you nd all kinds of businesses near you.
1. From the home screen, tap > System settings > Location services
and then select the location options you want to use.
2. Tap the > > Local. Your phone will nd your location and display it
on the screen.
3. Tap a business category to view information for that type of business
near you. You can also search for businesses by tapping and typing
in keywords.
4. Tap a result you are interested in and check out the details and reviews
about that place. You can also see the place on Google Maps

how to get there, or call the business.
Google Music
You can access up to 20,000 songs from your music collection by storing
them in the cloud. You can also purchase music through Google Play
™
with
this app.
From the home screen, tap > Play Music to access Google Music.
• Swipe left or right with your nger to access different areas of the app.
• You can view recently played songs, and you can also view music by
playlist, artist, album, song, or genre.
Google+
Connect with friends and family via Google’s social networking site. Set up
circles to organize people into groups for sharing content. Create hangouts
for group video chats, upload photos and videos, and much more.
Maps
Find local businesses, view maps, and get driving directions.
Messenger
With Google Messenger, you can bring groups of friends together into a
simple group conversation with text, photos, and video chat.
Navigation
Get free, voice-guided turn-by-turn navigation and 360° views of your
destination, whether you’re driving, walking, or taking public transit. See
estimated time to your destination based on live trafc information.
