Adding music to your phone
You can add music to your phone’s internal storage or to a removable
microSDHC card (see Phone setup – Inserting a microSDHC card).
Note: Steps may vary depending on your operating system.
1. Connect your phone to your computer with a USB cable.
2. Tap Media device (MTP).
Note: If you have a microSDHC card in your phone, you may be presented
with additional options. Tap Turn on USB storage > OK, or open the
Notications panel and tap Connected as an installer > Media
device (MTP).
3. On your PC, choose to view les through Windows Explorer. If you have
a Mac, visit http://www.android.com/letransfer to download the
necessary software.
4. Choose whether you want to add les to your phone’s internal storage
or to the microSDHC card, and then drag and drop the les you want
to transfer.
5. When you’re nished transferring les, open the notications panel and
tap Connected as a media device > Charge only. You may now safely
disconnect your phone from the computer.
Playing your music
You can play the audio les stored in
your phone’s microSDHC card in Music.
1. From the home screen, tap >
Music to access the music player.
2. Select Albums/Artists/Songs/
Playlists/Folders/GenreList to nd
the songs you want to play.
3. Tap an item from the list to start
playing.
4. Adjust the volume with the
Volume keys.
Number Function
1 Song and artist information.

Tap to toggle repeat mode: repeat all songs, repeat current
song, or repeat off.
3 Drag the slider to jump to any part of the song.
4 Tap to open the current playlist.
5 Skip songs or pause and resume playback.
6 Add to Favorite playlist.

Tap to play the current playlist in shufe mode, where tracks
are played in random order.
