1 General Information 1.1 Welcome Thank you for choosing ZTE-C C366 CDMA 1X Digital Mobile Phone. To guarantee the mobile phone always in its best condition, please read this manual carefully and keep it for future use. The pictures, symbols and contents in this manual are just for your reference. They might not be completely identical with your phone. Please subject to the real object.

2.4 Battery The attached Li-ion battery along with the phone can be used after unpacking. For the first three times, please use up the power and charge it fully for a new battery to perform well. 2.4.1 Remove and Installation of Battery Remove:(1) Press and push the back-cover of the phone down to release and remove it off the phone. (2) Put finger on the side finger grips, and then lift up the battery from the finger grips to remove the battery.
2.4.2 Charge the Battery Plug out rubber away (turn 180° as shown in the picture) from the jack on the top of the handset and connect the lead from the charger to the socket on the top of the phone. (Note: The side with arrow should be upright while connecting). Connect the charger to a standard wall AC socket.
Meanwhile, the charging indicator in up-right corner of the display flops cyclically, indicating the charging is going. In power-off mode while charging, the display only shows the charge indicator. If the battery is completely flat in storage or used up, it may take for a while before the charging indicator appears on the display or any calls can be made. When the charging indicator on the screen stops flopping, the charging is completed. The charging takes usually up to 2~3 hours.

3 Basic Operations 3.1 Make a Call Please ensure that you are in the place where the signal can be received. Examine network signal strength icon on the screen. The more the indication bars, the stronger the intensity of receiving signal is. If there is no bar, please move to the place where the intensity of receiving signal is better. Sometimes, you only need to change the direction.

All numbers are grouped as Missed Calls, Received Calls and Dialed Calls. When the list is full, the oldest number will be erased automatically when new record is coming. You can check the list as follows: In standby mode, press Send key to view Dialed Calls. The number listed in can be directly dialed by pressing Send key.
3.2 Answer a Call When a call is incoming in standby mode, the phone will offer corresponding ringer or vibration to prompt according to your Setting. With the number already saved in Names, the phone also shows the name of caller meanwhile. • Press Send key • Press End key to answer an incoming call. to end a call and the call duration is temporarily displayed. See “10.2 Call ” or refer to other ways of answering calls for your option as follows. 3.2.
3.3 In Conversation 3.3.1 Adjust Volume in Conversation Press Left/Right key to adjust volume of Earpiece during a call. 3.3.2 Select Options in Conversation During a call, press Left/Right select key to select options of Option (Names, Messages, Record), Mute/Unmute,etc. Select Mute to let other party temporarily can not hear your voice, select Unmute back to normal. Select Option for selection in Menu, such as Names, Messages, Record with no worry about the ending of conversation.

Press OK key or Right select key to set or exit. The functions of phone are mainly grouped in main menu: Call History, Names, Multimedia, Messages, BREW, Games, Settings, Profiles, and Organiser. Please refer to the text hereinafter in this manual in detail.
4 Call History 4.1 View Recent Calls Information of All Calls, Missed Calls, Received Calls, and Dialed Calls including name, phone number, call time and conversation duration is saved in the Call History. 1. Select Menu →Call History. 2. Select All Calls, Missed Calls, Received Calls or Dialed Calls. 3. Press OK key/Left select key. 4. Select one entry of the records and press Left select key. 5. Select option: - Call Information:Indicate name, number, time and conversation duration information.
4.2 Call Duration 1. Select Menu→ Call History→ Call Duration. 2. Select an option from the list and press OK key. -Last Dialed Call: Indicate the talk time of the last dialed call. The time can be reset. -All Dialed Calls: Indicate the talk time of all dialed calls. The time can be reset. -Incoming Calls: Indicate the talk time of all incoming calls. The time can be reset. -All Calls: Indicate the talk time of all dialed and received calls. The time can be reset.
5 Names You can save Names in phone. Each contact in phone’s memory has three phone numbers,home number, mobile number and office number. 5.1 Add Name 5.1.1 Add New Entry 1. Select Menu→ Names→ Add Name→ Name. 2. Press Up/Down key to relative item, Name: Add the persons name. See “13 Text Input” more instructions for writing text and character. Home Number/Mobile Number/Office Number: write the call number by keying the Number key.
Call Alert: Press OK key to set specific ring for the calling of the names. Sms Alert: Press OK key to set specific ring for the SMS of the names. 4. After the completion of writing, press Left select key to save the contact. 5. Scroll to just input phone number, press OK key or Left select key, Further operation can be executed, such as: Edit: Edit the names. Send Message: Send message to this number. Make a call: Make a call to the default number of this names.

Press Right select key to erase the characters, input the characters you want input (See 13. Text input for more information).
Search 1. Select Menu → Names → Find. 2. Press Up/Down Key to select Find Name, Find Number or Find Group. 3. Input the name or number you want find, or select the group you want find and press OK key. 4. Press Up/Down key to scroll though the corresponding name(s) and records in the list. Scroll to the name you want, and press OK key to view the details or select Option. All the Names will be list by the letter of the name. If no contact in the list, “No Record” will be displayed.

Method 1: Enter speed dial number, press Send Key to dial. Method 2: Directly hold the Speed Dial Number digit key. 5.6 Memory Status 1. Select Menu→Names→Memory Status. 3. View the number of saved entries and maximum number of entries saved in phone. For example: 8/500, indicating that 500 records entries in Max.
6 Multimedia 6.1 Camera 1. Select Menu → Multimedia → Camera. 2. Press OK key to take photos. 3. Select Option, press Up/Down key to select a following option. Settings: make various setting of taking phones. -Resolution: set the resolution as 480x640, 240x320, or 128x160. -Black/White: Select On or Off to set the phones as black/white or colors. -Multishot: Set Multishot Off, 3 shots, 6 shots or 9 shots. -Shutter Sound: Select the shutter sound. Photo Brower: enter the File manager of photos.
6.2 File Manager 1. Select Menu → Multimedia → File Manager. 2. Press Up/Down key to select an option from the pop-up windows, Photo, Record, BREW Picture, BREW Music, or Received Files. 3. Select one file folder, press OK key to open the folder or press Left select key to select option: Open: Open the file folder. You can see all files in the file folder. Select one file, press OK key to play the file, press Left select key you can make the corresponding operation.
7 Messages Your phone has the function of sending and receiving text messages (SMS), multimedia message (MMS) and voice mail message. Note:The function introduced hereinafter may differ with different service offered in your area. Please consult with your service provider for more detailed information. 7.1 Send a New Message Please consult with the service provider to support the network service of sending message. 1. Select Menu→ Messages→ Send New. 2. Input the receiver’s phone number.
Insert: You could insert the files from MyImages, Mytunes. Slide: You can make slide. Select Add Slide to add the new page of the slide, select Delete Slide to delete the page, select Previous Slide to go to the previous page, select Next Slide to go to the next page, select Slide Timing to set the time of the page display. Preview: View the message you have written. Delete Item: Delete the picture or tunes you have inserted.

The SMS centers of some cities and regions do not support messages longer than 160 characters. 7.2 Album On Line You can send SMS or MMS to the mail server. This function is network services. Please consult with network service provider to get corresponding service application. 7.3 Receive Incoming Call while Editing Message • If you do not want to receive the incoming call, press End key.

7.6.1 Delete a Message 1. Select Menu→ Messages. 2. Select messages location: Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Sent or Saved. 3. Press Up/down key to select to-be-erased messages. 4. Press Left select key and select Delete in option. “Do you want to delete the message” appears. 5. Press OK key/Left select key to delete this message. 7.6.2 Erase All Messages 1. Select Menu→ Messages 2. Select Inbox, Outbox, Draft, Sent or Saved that you want to delete all. 3.
Select Menu→ Messages→Voice Mail→Check VoiceMail to dial voice mail box number to listen to the leaving message following guide prompt. Note: The function needs network support. Hold 1 Key in standby mode to dial voice mail box number directly. 7.7.2 Set Voice Mail Number 1. Select Menu→ Messages→Voice Mail→Set Call Number. 2. Set Voice Mail Number. 7.8 Message Settings You can set your message box before you use it. 1. Select Menu → Messages → Settings→Message Settings. 2.
On: Download the MMS automatically. OFF: Manually download the attachment when viewing the MMS. Delivery Report: Press Left/Right key to select On/Off for your phone can or can not automatically receive message from network informing whether you have sent message successfully. Picture Talk Alert: Press Left/Right key to select On/Off. When select On, if editing MMS, alert. Callback: When you send the message, callback number could be sent out automatically. You can change callback number.
7.10 Memory Status Select Menu→ Messages→Memory Info. View the memory information of your phone.
8 BREW This function needs network support by service provider. If your phone can also support, menu of BREW appears on the display. If your phone and network provider don’t support, the function is invalid. The application of this function may ask for extra fee. Please contact with network provider to acquire more information.
9 Games 9.1 Brick attack In this game, paddle the bar to rebound the ball and attack bricks with skill. And then enter next stage. 1. Select Menu→ Games→ Brick Attack. 2. Press Left select key or OK key, the display shows the play guide. 3. Select Newgame to start, press Left/Right key to move the paddle bar left/right. Press Right select key to pause the game. 4. As passing a stage, select Continue to next stage, select Back to exit the game. 9.
10 Settings Your phone has different functions in Setting to meet your requirement. They are: Display, Call, Security and Extras. 10.1 Display 10.1.1 Set Wallpaper You can select different wall papers as background in idle state. 1.Select Menu→ Settings→ Display→Wallpaper. 2. Press Up/Down key to select Preset Wallpaper or Custom Wallpaper. 3. Press Up/Down key or Left/Right key to scroll the list and press OK key/Left select key to confirm. 10.1.

Select Menu→ Settings→ Display→ Time Format. 2. Select AM/PM or 24 HR, and press OK key/Left select key to confirm. 10.1.8 Change Banner View and edit phone’s greeting to which appears on the display to your own. 1. Select Menu→ Settings → Display → Banner. 2. Press OK key/Left select key to Edit. 3.
10.1.10 Theme Style 1. Select Menu→ Settings→ Display→ Theme Style. 2. Select Theme Style 1 or Theme Style 2 to change the color of the display, and press OK key/Left select key to confirm. 10.2 Call 10.2.1 Call Forwarding Use Call Forwarding to forward the incoming call to a designated phone number. After setting of call forwarding, phone will automatically dial network to set the function in active. 1. Select Menu→ Settings→ Call → Call Forwarding. 2. Set type of Call Forwarding, press OK key.
- Disabled: to deactivate Call Forwarding function. 10.2.2 Call Waiting During a call, use Call Waiting to answer the waiting call prompted by the network; Or dial another call meanwhile putting the first call on hold. These calls can be shifted while you have calls in conversation. Call Waiting lets you enjoy three-party conversation without missing call. 1. Select Menu→ Settings→ Call → Call Waiting. 2. Select option: - Enabled: To activate the Call Waiting function.

Friend List All the Names will be listed by the letter of the name. 1. Select Menu→ Settings → Call →Fire Proof → Friend List. 2. Select options or scroll to one contact listed and select options: Add: Add new contact in Friend List. Edit: Edit this contact in Friend List.
Current Settings You can set barring applications as follows: Bar All: Bar all incoming calls. Bar Black List: Only bar numbers listed in Black List. Bar All Except Friend List: Only numbers listed in Friend List are not blocked. Cancel All: Cancel barring setting. 10.3 Security Setting Introduction to phone’s security options preventing others to avoid illegal use or acquire your phone’s personal information.

Select OK to revert to confirm resetting or restoring factory default or select Cancel to exit. 10.4 Extras 10.4.1 Key Guard 1. Select Menu→ Settings→Extras→ Key Guard to set phones’ key lock and time. 2. Select an option in pop-up window: -Off:Deactivate the function of phones’ key lock.
-Remind Minute: During a call, ten seconds ahead of every minute, alert. -Missed Call: When there are missed calls, alert. -Roaming: When roam in active and handoff between service areas or states occurs, alert. For the function mentioned above, select On to operate; select Off to cancel alert. 10.4.3 Version 1. Select Menu→ Settings →Extras→ Version. 2. See the information of PRL (Personal Roaming List) Version, SW Version or HW Version. 10.4.4 Own Number 1.Select Menu → Settings → Extras → Own Number. 2.
11 Profiles You can personalize your phone. There are many ways to change the sound and feel of your phone. 1. Select Menu → Profiles. 2. Press Up/Down key to select an option from the list. - Silent: Set the phone in silence mode - General: Set the phone in ringer mode. - Outdoor: Set the phone in ringer with vibration mode. - Meeting: Set the phone in vibration mode. - Headset: Set the phone in earphone mode. 3. Press OK key/Left select key, you can - Setup: Set the current mode as the phone mode.
12 Organiser 12.1 Scheduler 1. Select Menu→Organiser→ Scheduler. 2. Press Left/Right key or Up/Down key to select exact date you want to view in pop-up calendar window. Press OK key/Left select key. 3. Scroll Up/Down key to select options. Add Event: Add new schedule. View By Day: View the schedule lists of the current day. View All: View all schedule lists. Erase Old: Delete the old schedule lists. Erase All: Delete all schedule lists.

Select Stop or Pause/Resume to stop, pause or resume the recording. After record ended, select Option to Review, Re-record or Save the file.

The record will be saved automatically when the call is ended without finishing recording, and exit back to interface of ending call. 12.2.3 Record with Incoming Call/Message With Incoming Call While recording in state of non-conversation, receive a call will stop recording. The record of phone will be saved automatically and return to call interface. With Message While recording in state of non-conversation, receive a message won’t stop recording.

Press Left/Right key to check the different cities time. 3. Press Left select key/OK key you can select the following Option: -Local City: Select the local city.
13 Text Input Your phone offers text input modes: Multitap Input (abc/ABC), Numbers Input (123), eHiText Input (ITAP). Input mode includes capital letter and lowercase mode. You can key in letters, digits, characters and symbols when writing text or editing contact record information in Names or Messages etc., following the common instruction in hereinafter table. Operation Input Letters Method Multitap (abc/ABC) Input—“abc/ABC”, press corresponding letter key till the letter appears.
