Set Your Network Options
1.
Touch > (Settings)>Mobile networks>Network Mode.
2. SelectLTE/CDMAorCDMA.ThedevicewillscanforthebestavailableSprintnetworkandwill
automaticallyconnecttoit.
WhenyourdeviceisconnectedviaSprintSpark,theSprintSparkicon( )appearsinthe
Statusbarandtellsyoutheapproximatesignalstrength(numberofbandsdisplayed).
Note: Thenetworkisself-discoverable,whichmeansnoadditionalstepsarerequiredforyour
devicetoconnecttoit.
Your User Name
Whenyoubuyyourdeviceandsignupforservice,you’reautomaticallyassignedausername,
whichistypicallybasedonyournameandanumber,followedby“@sprintpcs.com.”(Forexample,
thethirdJohnSmithtosignupforSprintdataservicesmighthave[e-mail]ashis
username.)
Whenyouusedataservices,yourusernameissubmittedtoidentifyyoutothenetwork.Youruser
nameisautomaticallyprogrammedintoyourdevice.Youdon’thavetoenterit.
Update Your User Name
Ifyouchoosetochangeyourusernameandselectanewoneonline,ormakeanychangestoyour
services,youmustthenupdatetheprofileonyourdevice.

2. TouchUpdate profile.
Data Connection Status and Indicators
Yourdevicedisplaysthecurrentstatusofyourdataconnectionthroughindicatorsatthetopofthe
screen.Thefollowingsymbolsareused:
Icon Notification
Network(fullsignal):Thenumberofbarsindicatethestrengthofthesignal.
Morebarsmeanabettersignal.
Sprint Spark(dataservice):YourphoneisconnectedtotheSprintSparkenhanced
LTEnetwork(dataservice)
