Adding a new beacon, Dialog Box
 Setup Tab
Name: This is the operators
name for the beacon being
tracked, e.g. Towfish.
(NOTE: Cannot have two bea-
cons with same name.)
Serial Number: Serial Num-
ber of the beacon as a record
of use.
Symbol: Scroll bar allows se-
lection of a symbol to repre-
sent the beacon in use.
Beacon Status: Selects either
Active, Disabled or Fixed Tar-
get. For a fixed target to be
displayed in the grid also enter
in bearing and horizontal distance of the target. Enter in the position with respect to the center of
the vessel (assumed pitch/roll center also).
Trail: The target positions are plotted and a line drawn from point to point. Select the color of the
“trail”, the line type and the number of points to store. To clear the trail click on the “Clear Trail”
button. To have no trail then set to one.
