38 Functional Description
interface at 250MHz. It can support up to a 1GB/s bandwidth,
with a 16-bit DDRII SDRAM interface.
A DRAM capacity of 32MB is currently supported on cPCI-
3920 boards.
VGA Analog Interface and Connector (CN3)
The 15-pin female connector CN3 is used to connect a VGA
analog monitor to the cPCI-3920 board.

Dual Gigabit Ethernet
The cPCI-3920 board includes two 10Base-T/100Base-
TX/1000Base-T Ethernet ports based on the Dual Gigabit Ether-
net controller, which is connected to the x4 PCI Express interfaces
of the Intel® 3100.
The Intel® 82571EB Dual Gigabit Ethernet Controller’s architec-
ture is optimized to deliver high performance with the lowest
power consumption. The controller’s architecture includes inde-
pendent transmit and receive queues and a PCI Express interface
that maximizes the use of bursts for efficient bus usage.
The Boot from LAN feature is supported.
