The times when heat is needed seldom coincide with the times
when the energy from the sun can be harvested. For that reason the
heat generated by solar energy has to be transported to the solar
storage tank via the solar circuit from where it is drawn for use in
the heating system or for warm water. To ensure the components of
the solar energy system harmonize seamlessly the following com-
plete solar packages are available with the following content:
· High-performance flat collectors SCM 215, optionally available
with black or silver anodised frames; 2, 3, 4 or 5 collectors
depending on requirements
· Connection, connectors and mounting accessories
· Roof installation sets with roof brackets
· Pump assembly with electronic solar control unit
· Diaphragm expansion tank
· Heat transfer fluid
· Overvoltage protection socket for collector sensor
· Process water mixer
· Steel potable water storage tank, bivalent, with two large-surface
smooth tube heat exchangers, enamelled interior, primed exterior,
PU rigid foam insulated, protective magnesium anode, including
sensor tube and thermometer, 1½“ coupling to retrofit an electri-
cal heater as standard, depending on the package size 300 litre,
400 litre or 500 litre content

Auxiliary electronic instantaneous water heaters
If the solar yield is insufficient to heat water in the solar storage
unit to the desired temperature, e.g. on overcast days, then it is
necessary to heat it to the desired temperature. Solar system suit-
able electronic instantaneous water heaters are the ideal choice for
integrating in the hot water system (e. g. DSX, DEX, CEX-U, CEX 9,
CFX-U and MDX).
In making up the temperature difference these devices heat only the
water actually used to the desired temperature. This solution avoids
the wasting energy resulting from heating the water at a central
point. The water heating process can be completely separated from
the central heating.
