.PRODUCT APPLICATION (cont.) .
LIMITATIONS
B-I-N 2 Primer is not recommended for full service use on
exterior applications or use on floors, or surfaces subject
for immersion or prolonged contact with water. Do not
box or intermix B-I-N 2 Primer with other oil-base or
water-based products.
APPLICATION
Apply only when air, material, and surface temperatures
are between 35-90ºF (2-32ºC) and the relative humidity is
less than 85%. The surface temperature should be 15°F (-
9°C) above the dew point for exterior applications.
Thoroughly mix or shake to ensure any settled pigment is
re-dispersed before using. Eliminate all sources of ignition.
Do not thin this product. In most cases only one coat is
necessary to prime most surfaces. If excessive absorption
occurs over very porous substrates a second coat may be
necessary. For best results, prime entire surface before
painting.
PRODUCT APPLICATION (cont.) .
Apply with a high quality natural or synthetic brush,
nap roller, pad, conventional or airless sprayer. If
spraying, wear a NIOSH approved respirator. Follow
manufacturer's instructions when using spray equipment.
For airless spraying, use a 0.015-0.017" tip at 1500-2000
psi. Provide adequate ventilation at all times.
DRY & RECOAT TIMES
Dry and recoat times are based on 70°F and 50% relative
humidity. Allow more time at cooler temperatures. Dries to
the touch in 35 minutes and can be recoated in 2 hours.
Lower temperatures, higher humidity and the addition of
tint will prolong dry and cure time.
CLEAN-UP
Clean up spills and application equipment immediately
after use with mineral spirits. Wipe up splatter before they
dry. Follow the equipment manufacturer’s directions to
clean spray equipment.
