Roll-A-Tex Sand Texture Additive
(Formerly Bondex)
Bondex Sand finish additive works in all paints and varnishes – interior or exterior. An extremely fine
volcanic mineral compound, it stays suspended during application. Used to produce a non-skid surface
around pools, decks, steps and ramps, or for achieving a sand-texture effect on walls and ceilings.
DIRECTIONS:
SURFACE PREPARATION:
Follow the paint manufacturer’s directions for surface preparation and paint application. Use either a brush
or roller.
MIXING:
While mixing we suggest you wear a NIOSH approved dust mask. Add the 2 lb. Package to 5 gallons of paint/varnish, the 8 oz.
package to 1 gallon of paint/varnish. If heavier sand finish is desired; more additive may be used. Mix thoroughly using a slotted paint
paddle or mechanical agitator. When using with deep or dark colors, mix additive to paint 2-3 hours prior to application.
APPLICATON:
Apply paint varnish as usual, with brush or roller. After applying, use a sponge, whisk broom, or other tool on wet paint if different
textural effects are desired.
CLEAN UP:
Refer to clean up instructions on paint/varnish label.

Do not take internally. Keep out of reach of children. If ingested, consult a physician immediately.
