2-Pack 48” LED T8 Tubes for use with 4ft Fluorescent Fixtures
with Instant Start Electronic Ballasts

WARNING: These products may represent a possible shock or re hazard if improperly installed or attached
in any way. Products should be installed in accordance with these instructions, current electrical codes,
and/or the current National Electric Code (NEC).
WARNINGS: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE YOU START:
CAUTION - To reduce risk of re, electric shock, or injury to persons, pay close attention to this manual
and stay within its guidelines when using this product. USE ONLY WITH FOUR FOOT FLUORESCENT
FIXTURES WITH INSTANT START ELECTRONIC BALLASTS. Before you proceed check the ballast type.
Instant Start ballasts can be identied by the words “Instant Start” or “I.S.” or the designation “IS” within the
marking on the ballast, for example F40T12-IS. For more information, contact the luminaire manufacturer. Do
not attempt to install these Linear LED T8 Tubes into xtures if you are unsure.
WARNING! Risk of shock.
1. Turn power off at source before installing or replacing lamps.
2. LED T8s are designed for use in dry or damp locations.
3. LED T8s are not dimmable.
4. Do not attempt to remove cover or open LED tube. LEDs are
not serviceable.
5. Do not alter pins at either end. Inspect before installation and do
not proceed if a pin is bent or damaged.
Additional Safety Measures
1. LEDs are bright! Do not look directly at lighted lamp.
2. Make sure your ladder is properly positioned before use to allow you to replace lamps comfortably
and safely.
3. Not for use in emergency exits or backup power circuits.
4. Do not use detergents, abrasive brushes or pads to clean the cover (lens) of the LED T8 tube.
Installing LED T8 lamps:
1. To remove existing uorescent T8 tubes:
a. Supporting the existing uorescent tube at both ends near the sockets, rotate it 90º in either direction to
release from the sockets at each end.
b. Align the pins vertically and lower each side of the lamp out from each socket. Set the removed tube
down in a safe place where it will not fall and break. See Figure 1.
c. Repeat for each existing uorescent tube.
2. To install LED T8 tubes:
a. Insert the LED T8 into the xture by aligning pins vertically with the slots of each socket.
b. Push LED T8 tube straight up into the sockets and rotate it 90º until you feel it lock into place.
See Figure 2.
c. Repeat for each LED T8 tube.
3. For installation into new un-lamped uorescent xtures: Follow steps 2 a-c above.
