Start Measuring Initial Start-Up Insert the Batteries Open the battery door in the back of the scale. Remove insulating strip from beneath the battery (if fitted) or insert batteries (4 x 1.5V AAA) observing the polarity signs (+ and -) inside the battery compartment. * The digits “8888” will be shown on the LCD.
