Since jobs are not started until the “START”buttonisclicked,
note that the order in wh i ch jobs begin printing is not solely
based on which job was subm i t te d first. In the case of th e print
queue displayed in Figures 4.65 and 4.66,thejobsubmittedlater
(the Tardis) has been started printing while the job submitted
earlier remai n s waiti ng on t h e print queue.
As the owner or as a manager of a printer, (or if you are
amemberofagroupgrantedCONTROL PRINTERS access to a
shared printer) you have quite a bit of control over the jobs
in the print queue. The owner or any manager (or any group
member with control access) may:
1. Tell the printer to begin a job: click the “START”button.
2. “PAUSE”or“STOP”acurrentlyprintingjob.
