Wireless Menu
In Wireless Local Access Networking (WLAN) environment,
Access Point (A.P.), a hardware device as a connection
media, is able to connect with Ethernet system or in order to
surf on the Internet through Ethernet system. In other words,
the A.P. plays a role as a system hardware connection.
Without using an A.P. hardware device, just set up one
desktop PC or a notebook PC.
Wireless Concept
Access Point (AP)?
Access Point is a transparent media access controlled (MAC)
bridge that provides Ethernet to Wireless access. With Access
Point, wireless workstations can be added easily to an existing
Ethernet. Access Point works with Wireless LAN Card just like
Ethernet Hub works with NIC Card.
Ad -hoc
Ad-hoc is a peer-to-peer network connection mode, which like
Ethernet NIC direct connection to NIC through crossover cable.
During Ad-hoc mode, wireless LAN workstations connect to each
other without Access Point.
Infrastructure mode
Infrastructure is a network connection mode that allows wireless
