Apollo Smart Move
Apollo’s Smart Move® is the next generation in gobo moving
effects technology. In addition to simple multi-direction
rotation, the Smart Move® by Apollo offers an array of
individual gobo movements ideal for a broad range of
applications without the need of a control board. The built-in,
pre-programmed microprocessor provides the “smarts”, while
the rotary switches and speed control dial allow the user to
easily set the desired effect and its speed.
The Smart Move® gobo rotator holds one or two “B” round
gobos, secured by a reversible retaining ring. Belt driven for
quiet operation while being powered by a rugged 24V power
supply standard with the unit. The unit’s black, powder-coat
18 gauge steel provides rigidity and durability. The variable
speeds range from 0 to 21 rpm plus rotary switches for easy
setting to desired effect.

The TwinSpin II variable
speed gobo rotator
rotates two “B” size
patterns in opposition
to each other at speeds
of 2-15 rpm by plugging
into a dimmer or with the
speed control option. It
slides easily into the drop-
in slot of an ellipsoidal,
where patterns are held in place with its stainless steel
retaining rings. TwinSpin II offers four motion options: rotate
one pattern, twin spin two patterns, mixed doubles make
areas appear and disappear, or add a “still” into the pattern
holder of your xture. The rotating patterns will animate your
“still” to make leaves rustle, ames dance and stars twinkle.

The VORTEX 360
Dual Rotator
is one of the
most versatile accessories ever offered to lighting designers.
And its incredibly low price makes it possible for any theatre
or venue to have several copies available to cover any space
or meet any need. The sleek unit houses two carefully crafted
gear drives, both made of stainless steel, to assure long term
operation. A single silent motor drives both gear assemblies.
Even at full speed, the VORTEX 360 Dual Rotator is so quiet
it can be used anywhere in a theatre or venue - including
front-of-house positions in a theatre or grids on low ceilings
in restaurants or stores. This Plug and Play model of the
VORTEX 360 does not require any additional power supply.
The transformer/plug that comes with it can be plugged
directly into a wall outlet. Or, using a low cost adapter, into
any convenient dimmer.

Helpful Ordering Hints
Apollo’s art department is skilled at
turning your artwork into the highest
quality gobo you could want. Follow
these guidelines for the best results.
• As you look at your artwork, try to imagine
the black portions of your black and white
image as light areas.
• Black & white art yields best image.
• Remember: The smaller the gobo, the
more the image must be reduced.
• You’ll incur no art charges when sending
bridged black and white
camera-ready art at 300 dpi.
• If you provide us with camera-ready non-
bridged art, a moderate charge will apply for
sizing and bridge.
• If your artwork is not camera ready,
provide images as large as possible on an
8½" x 11" maximum size page.
• If sending art via e-mail or disk, use .eps,
.ai, .tif, or .jpg les in PC format.
