Ohm’s Law
The rate of the ow of the current is equal to electromotive
force divided by resistance. The basic Ohm’s law formulas are:
I = E/R R=E/I E=I x R E= Electromotive force and
is measured in Volts. Voltage is the difference in electrical
potential between two points in a circuit. It’s the push or
pressure behind current ow through a circuit.
R=Resistance which is measured in Ohms determines how much
current will ow through a component. Resistors are used to
control voltage and current levels. A very high resistance allows
a small amount of current to ow. A very low resistance allows
a large amount of current to ow.
I=Intensity of Current which is measured in Amperes or Amps
is what ows on a wire or conductor like water owing down a
river. Current ows from points of high voltage to points of low
voltage on the surface of a conductor.
P=Power and is measured in Watts. Power is the amount of
current times the voltage level at a given point.
To use the pie chart: Find the value that you need to calculate
in the center of the chart, then choose a formula from that
quadrant that uses the values you know.

Cam-Lok Feeder Cable
Cam-Lok E1016 connectors are now the
preferred high amperage connection for
the hookup of dimmer packs and racks,
distribution boards and generators.
They are easy to connect and they lock
together in a watertight t. Cam-Lok
E1016 connectors are rated at 315 Amps
continuous, or 500 Amps intermittent.
Cam-Lok connectors may be purchased
in green, white, red, blue, or black. Black

Cable Crossovers
Easy to set-up, easy to carry and
easy to store. It’s a one person job
that provides total cable protection.
The innovative 45˚ corner pieces and
interlocking connectors of the Peterson
Yellow Jacket Protection System™
allows for almost any conguration.
Regardless of their conguration,
Yellow Jacket lids will stay open for
maximum cable laying convenience.
One, three, four and ve cable slots
are available and all have interlocking
connectors for extra stability. The
lid’s improved “Hiper-Hinge” ensures
long wear under heavy-duty use. High
visibility yellow end boots complete the
system and add an extra measure of
safety. Most sections weigh less than
a tool box and come with a recessed
safety handle, making them easy to
carry. When stacked on the edge, each
section requires less than 3” of space.
Yellow Jacket Cable Protectors are
consistent with OSHA guidelines.
