A minimum of 6” or 10” round duct must be used for AK8300BSX. Always use rigid type metal ducts only. Flexible ducts could restrict air flow by up to 50%. Also use calculation (on page 8) to compute total available duct run when using elbows, transitions and caps.

Remove the (2) screws from the electrical box in front of the blower housing. 2. Position the electrical box on top of the blower housing and secure with (2) screws. Reroute the wiring inside the hood for the new electrical box placement.
Installation Instructions ZEPHYRONLINE.COM Single & Dual Internal Blower Installation Multiple blowers are compatible with AK8300BSX only. AK8200BS includes a 1000 CFM dual blower only. For remote blower preparation instructions, turn to page 16. 1. Position blower plate over the bracket inside the back of the hood and pivot up. Secure the plate to hood with (2) 3/16x3/8” screws. 2. Connect 6 pin male connector from blower wiring to 6 pin female connector in the power pack.

Connect 10” round ductwork to 10” round adapter. 2. Install threaded end of remote blower wiring through external blower wiring knock out locked in junction box on top of power pack. 3. Place cap over threaded end of remote blower wiring and secure by turning clockwise.

The filters need not be replaced on a regular basis but are required to be kept clean. The Baffle Filter Clean reminder function in the microprocessor will automatically indicate by a flashing F when the baffle filters need to be cleaned after every 60 hours of use.

Cleaning Stainless Steel Clean periodically with warm soapy water and clean cotton cloth or micro fiber cloth. Always rub in the direction of the stainless steel grain.

Troubleshooting ZEPHYRONLINE.COM Possible Problem After installation, the unit doesn’t work. Light works, but blower is not turning. Possible Cause The power source is not turned ON. Make sure the circuit breaker and the unit’s power is ON. The power line and the cable locking connector is not connecting properly. The switch board or control board wirings are disconnected. The switch board or control board is defective. The wires on control board are loose.

Change the ducting to the correct size The hood might be hanging to high from the cook top. Adjust the distance between the cook top and the bottom of the hood within 24” and 36” range. Close all the windows and doors to eliminate the outside wind flow. The unit turns on by itself.
