PIP OPERATIONS AND CONNECTIONS
PICTURE-IN-PICTURE FUNCTIONS
To Select Main Picture Source:
The source for the main picture can be either of the
ANT/CABLE connections or any of the VIDEO connec-
tions. The following example selects ANT/CABLE i for
normal television viewing, which is the most common setup.
1. Press MODE button on the remote control until TV
light is on.
2. Press SOURCE button on the remote control
repeatedly until ANT/CABLE 1 is selected.

To Select PIP Source:
The PIP inset source can be either of the ANT/CABLE con-
nections or any of the 'VIDEO connections. The following
example selects VIDEO 1 for the PIP source, which is the
most common setup.
1. Turn on TV and VCR.
2. Press MODE button on the remote until TV light is on.
3. Press PIP button on the remote to display PIP inset.

4. Press SOURCE button on the remote repeatedly
until-VIDEO 1 is selected.

5. To change the channel in the PIP inset use the VCR
to select channe, ls or to view a tape in the PIP inset,
insert tape cassette and start playback.
6. Press PIP button on the remote to remove PIP inset.
Moving The Pip Inset
Use 4-way arrows (ADJ/SELECT) to move PIP inset to the
desired comer of the TV screen.
Select 'IV Mode
Press MODE repeatedly until the TV indicator lights.
Select PIP Source
Press SOURCE to view the PIP SOURCES menu. Press
repeatedly to select the correct PIP source.
Swap
Press SWAP to swap the main picture with the PIP inset.
Press SWAP again to return to the original display.

Press PIP to display the PIP inset. Press PIP again to
remove inset.
Freeze
Press FREEZE to freeze motion of the picture shown in the
PIP inset. Press FREEZE again to return to a live PIP inset.
When the PIP inset is not currently displayed, pressing
FREEZE provides an instant PIP freeze-frame of the pro-
gram you are watching. Press PIP again to return to normal
TV viewing. This function can be used without a second
source to retain a phone number or freeze a football play.
