PROJO (Projection) SETUP
Purpose
Lets you verify and adjust, if needed, the dynamic color con-
vergence of the TV.
Your projection TV has three separate projection picture
tubes, one for each primary color: red, green and blue. To
obtain a good color pictm;e, it is necessary that all three
colors are aligned exactly. This alignment is called "conver-
gence."
Your TV was properly converged at the factory. However,
in.some cases, the convergence may be affected depending
on where you place the TV.
If you move your TV from its original location, or if after
time, you notice color "fringes" in the picture, you may want
to realign the colors by adjusting the convergence as
described in the following steps.
B_efore Using PROJO SETUP
1. Place the TV in its permanent location.
2. Turn the TV on and select an active channel. Let
the TV warm up for a few minutes.

If the display appears as fou_:white right-angle lines
as shown at the right, no adjustment is necessary.
If there are more than four lines, each a different
color, you must adjust the convergence.
Use the SELECT and ADJUST arrow keys (Up,
Down, Left and Right) to adjust the Red lines until
they are on top of the Green lines.
Use MENU to change the test color to Blue.
Use the SELECT and ADJUST arrow keys (Up,
Down, Left and Right) to adjust the Blue lines until
they are on top of the other lines. All lines should
now be white.
6. Press ENTER to return to normal viewing.
NOTES:
• While the Blue test color is Sl_LOWing,the following mes-
sage appears at the bottom of '_Lhescreen.
PRESS ARROW KEYS TO CONVERGE BLUE
• While the Red test color is showing, the following message
appears at the bottom of the screen.

Selecting Projo Setup
To Use PROJO SETUP
1. PROJO SETUP slhould be selected if you followed
the "Basic Menu Operation" given in the "On-
Screen Menu" section.
2. With PROJO SETUP highlighted, press ADJ (Ad-
just) lzeft/Right to view the convergence lines.

SETUP MENU WITH AUXILIARY VIDEO SOURCE SELECTED
If one of the auxiliary video sources (VIDEO 1, VIDEO 2,
VIDEO 3, S-VIDEO 1 or S-VIDEO 2) is selected for your
main viewing picture, many of the SETUP MENU options
will not appear when the SETUP MENU is accessed. The
illustration below show.,; the SETUP MENU as it would ap-
pear. Only the CLOCK SET, CAPTIONS, CH. BACK-
GROUND and PROJO SETUP options remain. Refer to
the earlier discussions when setting these options.
