AUDIO MENU
AUDIO SELECTION CONSIDERATIONS
The last line of the Channel/Time display shows the current
audio heard. The display is shown each time you turn the
"IV ON, change channels, or press ENTER. The audio
heard depends on the following:
AUDIO mode selected on AUDIO MENU: STEREO,
MONO or 2ND AUDIO/SAP.
Audio signal being received.
Whether SEQ is ON or OFF.
NOTES:
Your AUDIO mode selection can override the type of
audio heard. For example, if you select MONO, you will
always hear monaural sound even if the signal received is
stereo.
If one of the auxiliary video sources (Video 112or
S-Video 1) is selected for the main picture source, the
Channel/Time display will not show an audio mode except
to show whether or not SEQ is turned on.

STEREO selected using the
AUDIO option on the
AUDIO Menu and a stereo
signal is received; you will hear
stereo sound. The Channel/
Time display shows STEREO.
MONO selected using the
AUDIO option on the AUDIO
Menu; you will hear monaural
sound regardless of the signal
actually received. The Channel/
Time display shows MONO.

STEREO selected using the
AUDIO option on the AUDIO
Menu, a stereo signal is
received and SEQ is turned
ON, you will hear SEQ stereo
sound. The Channel/Time dis-
play shows SEQ.
SAP selected using the
AUDIO option on the AUDIO
Menu and a SAP signal is
received; you will hear the SAP
audio. The Channel/Time dis-
play shows SAP.
If a SAP signal is not received,
the audio heard will be what-
ever is being received. The
Channel/Time display shows
what type of signal is being
received.
