SYMPTOMS SOLUTIONS
Snow picture and poor sound.
• Check your antenna connection or Location.
MutUpte images or 'ghost shadows:
• Checkyourantennadirectionand/orLocation.
• Hake surethewirefromyourantennatoyourEntertainmentMachineis
propertyconnected.
Interference: Sharp lines across
the screen and poor sound.
Thefollowing may causeimage problemsor distortion:
Electrical appliances, powerfullights, cars, trucks; computersor
portablephones;medicalequipment
• If possibleincrease the distancebetweenyour Entertainment Machine and
the offendingapptiance. Or shut one of them off.
Normal picture but no sound.
• CheckvolumeLeveLs.
• MakesuretheTV isnotmuted.
• Tryanotherchannel..The pmb[em may be thebroadcast,notyour
EntertainmentMachine.
• AretheAudioA/V cablespropertyinstaLLed?
No picture and poor sound.
No picture and no sound.

• MakesureoutputchanneLson aU A/V equipmentareon thesamechannel.(3or4).
• CheckthataL[connectionsaretight.
• Is the ACpowerpluggedin?
• Checkthat your AC powerout[et works.(Testit by pluggingin something
eLseortry anotherplug.)
• Makesureyour brightnessand audio controLsare set properLy.
• Try another channel..The probLemmay be with the broadcast.
No color, but the sound is O.K.
• Checkthe coLorcontroLin the Videomenu.
• Tryanother channel The problem may be with the broadcast.
Picture has a Mg black box
on it, but the soundis O.K.
• IsTextmodelseLectedbutno textisavaiLabLeon the broadcast?
• TheCC (cLosedcaption)optionmay be inTextmode.SeLectOFF inthe
Captionsmenu (seepage22).
Picture hastwo horizontal
black bars, one on top and
one on bottom.

• IsremoteinTV mode? PressTV forTV mode.
Menu optionscan'tbe • TryunpluggingyourEntertainmentMachinefora fewminutes,
changed or selected, then plug it backin. (Don't forget to resetthe cLock.)
No picture or soundwhen a
non-cable source is selected.
• Checktoseeifthesourceequipmenthasbeenturnedon.
• Make surethattheconnectionsaresecureon the backofyourTV and on thesource.
