14. Outdoor Antenna Grounding
If an outside antenna or cabte system is connectedto the
product,be sure the antenna or cabte system is grounded
so as to provide some protection against vottage surges
and built-up static charges. Articte810 of the Nationat
Etectricat Code (U.S.A.), ANSI/NFPA 70 provides
information with regard to proper grounding of the mast
and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to
an antenna dischargeunit, size of groundingconductors,
locatlon of antenna-discharge unit, connectionto
grounding etectrodes, and requirements for the grounding
etectrode.
