Speaker configuration
Downmix:
If you use the analogue 5.1 output you can change the loudspeaker settings from this menu.
LT/RT: The left and right audio channels are used.
Stereo: This option produces stereo sound.
V SURR: The analog stereo sound will be converted virtually as surround sound.
5.1CH: Select this setting if you have connected a digital audio amplifier or a surround sound sys-
tem.
Front
Decide on the size for the front speaker:
Large: Choose this setting if the diameter of the front speaker diaphragm is larger than 12 cm.
Small: Choose this setting for smaller loudspeakers.
Centre, Rear (only enabled in speaker setting V SURR and 5.1.CH):
Decide on the size of the centre and rear speakers or disable:
Large: Choose this setting if the diameter of the front speaker diaphragm is larger than 12 cm.
Small: Choose this setting for smaller loudspeakers.
Off: You can set the centre and rear speakers to Off if you want to operate the unit with the front
loudspeakers only.
Subwoofer:
On: Choose this option to switch the subwoofer on.
Off: You can set the subwoofer to Off if you want to operate the unit with the front loudspeakers
only.
Dialog: You will set the dialogue volume in this Menu.
Post DRC: Differences in volume, particularly in the case of music, are balanced with DRC (Dy-
namic Range Control), so that the music reproduced is output at the same volume. You can switch
on the function (On), switch it off (Off) or activate it automatically, if this is available(Auto).
SPDIF
SPDIF-Out: Set the function to SPDIF/Raw, if you have connected an AV receiver to a digital
audio output. Select SPDIF/PCM, if your television device/amplifier does not have a Dolby Digital
or MPEG decoder.
LPCM OUT: Select the decoder with which the sound should be transmitted here. The higher the
value, the better the sound quality.
