Thehammer safetyisengagedwhenthehammeriscockedandthethumbselectorlever
isswitchedintotheupposition.Whenthehammerisnotcocked,thissafetycannotbe
engaged,however,itcanbeengagedifthehammerishalf-cocked.
Ifthehammerisfully-cockedandyouwanttoengagethehammersafety,dothefollowing:
• Safelyunloadthepistolandperformaninspectiontoensureyouhavedoneso.
• Gripthepistolrmlyandpointitinasafedirection.
• Whilegraspingthehammerrmlybetweentwongers,squeezethetrigger,andslowly
guidethehammertoitshalf-cockedposition.
• Lockthehammerbyuseofthethumbsafetyselector.
Whenthehammersafetyisengaged,thehammerwillnottouchtheringpin.
ATTENTION: Do not attempt to engage the hammer safety when the
chamber is loaded. The pistol will fi re if the hammer slips from between
your fi ngers, possibly resulting in injury or death to yourself or others.
