8. MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING
• Makesurethatthepistolisunloadedbeforestartingmaintenance.
• Ifthepistolisnotunloadedfollowunloadinginstructions(seeUnloading the Pistol,
onthepreviouspage).
• Maintenanceofthepistolshouldbedoneaftereveryshooting.Themaintenance
andcleaningkitprovidedwiththepistolincludestwocleaningbrushes,oneramrod,
andoil.
DISASSEMBLY OF THE PISTOL
Makesurethatthepistolisunloaded
beforedisassembly.
• Takethemagazineoutbypressing
themagazinereleasebutton(see
Picture 4,page13).
• Holdthepistolwithstronghand.
• Depress the recoil spring plug
enoughtoallowthebarrelbushing
torotate.
• Whiledepressingtherecoilspring
plug, at the same time turn the
barrelbushingclockwise,enough
toallowtherecoilspringtocleartheshoulderonthebarrelbushing.
• Carefullyreleasethepressureontherecoilplugallowingtherecoilspringplugand
recoilspringtocomeoutoftherearm(Pictures11and12).
• Rotatethebarrelbushingcounterclockwiseandremove(Picture13).
• Pulltheslidebackuntilthesmallnotch(secondnotchfromthetopoftheslide)is
evenwiththedisassemblylatchandholdthepistolinthisposition(Picture14).
