INPUTS OUTPUTS
1) RCA inputs (Input 1/Input 2): Line inputs for connection with the RCA line-outs of the head-
unit
2) Digital coaxial RCA input: For connection of the ZE-5.1D ampli er to the digital output
(Bitstream, / PCM) of a DVD headunit.
3) Subwoofer output: Sends a subwoofer pre-amp signal to a larger subwoofer ampli er if
necessary.
4) Video Input/Output: The ZE-5.1D provides function selection and display exclusively by OSD
(On-Screen Display). For this purpose, the video output from a DVD or other video source is
connected into the video input of the ampli er. The video output should then be connected to the
input of the monitor, LCD, or TV. The ZE-5.1D supports only the PAL standard. When video input
into the system is absent, the display color is blue and display position may be altered. This allows
selection and display of functions even when no video sources are playing.
5) Optical Toslink input: For connection of the ZE-5.1D ampli er to the optical digital output of a
DVD headunit.
6) IR input socket: IR remote input to control the system using the included remote control, you
must  rst connect the wired IR sensor to the IR input of the system. To control the system, there
should be no obstacle between the remote control and the IR sensor. For best results, the remote
control should point directly at the front window of the wired IR sensor.
7) Loudspeaker output terminals. Note, that the loudspeaker outputs may not be bridged.
8) “GND” for connection to chassis ground or negative terminal of car battery
9) “+12V” for connection to the positive terminal of car battery
10) “REM” for the automatic (remote) turn-on / turn-off of the power ampli er from the head-unit’s
remote or antenna control lead
11) REM OUT This output must be connected to a separate bass ampli er (if required).
